Rissoles

Today my daughter and I prepared dinner - rissoles, and my daughter prepared the salad, too. This recipe is one that I made up, is very simple and low-allergy, and our family love them.

Rissole Recipe
1 kilogram of beef mince
3 eggs
1 slice of bread - made into breadcrumbs
1 onion or leek (leek is lower allergy)
5 small sprigs of parsley

Mix eggs well and add to mince. Cut up onion and parsley very finely and add to mixture. Make the slice of bread into breadcrumbs - we used a Mouli, and it didn't take long at all. Mix all ingredients together well.

Shape the rissoles into small handfuls and roll them around in your hand. Next, cook in a frypan for about 1/2 an hour. Ours were cooked in a Sunbeam electric frypan on 4.

OK, this sounded really good, except for the ingredients list where it says, beef mice (LOL)...then I realized it was supposed to say mince...WHEW! In the US, we say ground beef...Also, I have a similar recipe, the addition being grated parmesan...very yummy!

Hi Therese,
Oops...it was supposed to say mince...have fixed it up to say mince, now. :P Even our mice aren't that big!

It just goes to show that spell checker doesn't pick up everything, and I even checked it through before I posted it - I'm not perfect, either.

The next time that we make them, we are going to add grated carrot.
Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Jillian

My family likes rissoles as well. They are easy to make and I usually serve them with gravy and vegetables. Might have these for tea tonight as I have organised anything.

Thanks for sharing your recipe, it is a little different to mine.

Thank you again for the Honest Scrap Award, I forgot to put a thank you on your blog. I have added the logo to my blog page. Will put it in my side bar when I remember how to or get my son to help me.

Happy holidays,

Tania
(We are going down to Pt Lincoln again on Thursday for a couple of days, I will enjoy the rain and the green. I am lucky we don't have asthma in our family.)

Hi Tania,
You're very welcome.

Our rissoles are adapted for our family - low allergy.

The Honest Scrap logo looks good.

We intend going over to Tumby Bay in the September holidays, and are really looking forward to that.

I hope that you have a wonderful holiday in Port Lincoln.

Blessings,
Jillian
